BEARDS = PLACÉBO OF A MANLY JAWS?

Feb 22, 2021
Since 2012 the number of men growing and taking care of their beards has increased dramatically.
Formerly a sign of slackening, the long beard hiding half of the face was reserved for a particular style (Bikers, Metalheads etc…), it represented the voluntary deviation from a conformist society where all men had to be clean-shaven and well-groomed.

We find today that it is a fashion attribute, more and more popular.

A BEARD YES, BUT NOT ANYWAY!

The man of 2021 takes care of his beard as well as his hairstyle, from nourishing products to combs and the increasingly popular Barber Shops, a well-groomed beard dresses the face.
As with a haircut, a nice, well-trimmed beard brings structure, making your face square and more masculine.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SQUARE JAW WHERE DRAWN?

Of course.

The years pass and comfort increases, physical activity is reduced and our hormonal levels drop dramatically.
The impact is direct and visible on our body but also on our face which becomes less drawn and less pronounced.

The modern man seeks to camouflage his imperfections.
He therefore lets his beard grow, a sign of the presence of testosterone in his body.
This increases his virility and his charisma, delimits his jawline as well as the entire lower part of his face and camouflages his cheeks and his double chin (if ever he is subject to this).

You have surely known the era of the "necklace", this example perfectly illustrates the desire of man to draw his face.
Fuller and longer beards are also in line with this desire, giving the impression of an imposing jawline and a solid chin.
The man even goes so far as to trim his “three-day” beard to define the lower part of his face.

Anyway, the long or short beard as long as it is well maintained can bring an aesthetic touch to our face, and goes very well with modern "Undercut" style haircuts. It will remain listed for many more years.
